Yay!! Another post!!
I'm trying to jazz up the place, (blog-wise) I decided to go with a new background, I wanted it to be related to something I've done with my nails, and one of my favorites designs I've tried has to be the roses. So to celebrate, I've took my background and put it on my nails :)
I love it!! Roses are the cutest things on nails, But a pain in the butt to do on my right hand. So I didn't take a picture of that disaster, lol.
Also, I don't know if anyone does any couponing, but this week at Target (I do promise this is nail related) they have scotch tape on sale for 50 cents :) And there is also a coupon on target's website that makes the tape 100% free!! So I printed out 12 coupons :) (2 per computer) and made my way to target and stocked up on tape. I'm thinking about doing it again (If they reset the coupons) I love this time of year, when kids are dreading the back to school routine, and I get tons of free or almost free school supply that lasts me all year.
I can't wait to get some tape mani idea's.
Ok here's what I used:
Essie Fill the Gap!
Cacique Prism Violet
Julep Nicey + Finger Paints Paper Mache (for the rose base)
Julep Nicey (rose petals)
China Glaze Tree Hugger (leaf)
Finger Paint Black Expressionism
Orly Polishield (topcoat)
If you want to try this out, Here's a tutorial I made a little while ago. Enjoy!!

Until Next time,

Julep $0.01 Deal and Rain Rain Go away Nails.
Hey guys :)
I'm so excited about Juleps penny promotion :D I had seen other bloggers talk about it yesterday and I had to check it out right away, I thought, Julep Nail Polishes for a Penny?? I gotta have it!! So sure enough I went there and it was true, If you order in May you get your first month for a penny :D But other months will be regular price, which still isn't bad considering that a single Julep nail polish is around $16.50 at Sephora!! So $20 a month for $40 worth of stuff is an awesome price!! I cannot wait to get my Julep package!!
So If you want to grab this great deal GO HERE!!! Become a Julep Maven!!
(This link contains my refferal. For every two people who order from my link, I get a month for free. :D A girl can dream, right? Lol)
So for tonights mani I chose a rainy day scene. The weather here has been a bit sad, Its been raining and cold and now foggy. I want sun, I want to sit outside with my dogs in my garden and get my garden gloves dirty :D I started off with a dark gray thumb and worked my way to bright sunny pinky.
Now that I think about it, I'll be sad when I look outside and sad when I look at my nails :P It's ok, can't be too sad when you use glitter, which was really kind of hard to capture in these pictures.
I'm a little disappointed with the pictures, I took around 50 pictures and still none captured the colors right. My lightbox isn't working :( Maybe I really will have to wait for real light in the mornings or afternoons. This sucks considering I am a night owl.
Polishes I used:
Base Coat - Essie Millionails
The Gray was a mixture of Pure Ice Kiss Me Here Mixed with a bit of Black NYC Black Lace Creme and Blue China Glaze For Audrey and a bit of white added for each nail beside it Finger Paints Paper Mache.
Then the Blue on the pinky is just China Glaze For Audrey
Finally the Sun is Sally Hansen Xtreme wear Mellow Yellow.

Ice Cream Mani
Good Morning :D
Do I have a treat for you guys!! I scream you scream we all scream for Ice Cream!!!!
I went to Claire's and found the cutest earrings ever. Ice Creams, Donuts, Cupcakes, Popsicle, Pop-tarts, Cotton Candy, Fudgesicles, and Sno-Cones!
So for the first time in a while It was warm in Chicago (yesterday) :D So I wore my Ice Cream earrings and decided to do my nails in the same fashion, Oh yea!! So without further delay, Ice Cream Bowl Mani's. (My nails weren't pointy or long enough to do cones, lol)
I'm so excited about my nails, I used my Konad stamp for the cones, mostly because I'm really bad at drawing straight lines, so I'm glad I remembered that I had that pattern on a stamp, saved me a big headache.
Also I'm happy with the end result of the cones color, I had to mix colors and usually they end up looking cloudy/muddy and ugly. So that's a plus.
The Cherries are pearls that I bought at Hobby Lobby, I Just slapped some red polish on them :)
Polishes I used for this Mani:
The Cone Base KleanColor Cappuccino + Finger Nails Paper Mache
The Dark Brown on the cone is KleanColor Dark Brown
The Ice Cream brown is the KleanColor Cappuccino by itself
The green is Revlon Minted
The yellow is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow.
And the pink is Fresh Paint High Voltage
I also used Essie Matte About You on top of the cones to make it look realistic.
I used Konad Plate m57

Poppy Fields
So I was looking through my many packets of flower seeds, and I ran into my Oriental Poppy's and instantly I wanted them on my nails. I've been wanting to do more floral patterns, not just the rose. So I figured this would be the perfect opportunity. Also I want to add that right in the middle of my first finger I saw a giant white ugly spider on the screen and instantly flipped out. My right hand looks way better but I did not in any way stick to my mock up plan. I rushed through it, I didn't want to be near the computer any longer!! Oh that reminds me, I made another tutorial, but first the pictures of the mani.
I think the thumb came out beautifully. The rest of the fingers on the left hand remind of a lot of the Super Mario games, lol. I'll post the pictures of the right hand later on in the day. I really need to work on getting a new camera. My phone isn't cutting it at all. After this I'll share the tutorial. :)
For this Mani I used:
Blue base is China Glaze For Audrey, the Green is China Glaze Tree Hugger, the dark red in the poppy is Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miricle Divine Wine the Lighter red is Essie (I still can't remember the name of it) the Black is Finger Paints Black Expressionism The Yellow is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow The Gray in the cloud is Pure Ice Kiss Me Here and the White is Finger Paints Paper Mache.

Pink Roses Leopard Polka Dot Lightning Bolt Nails..
Hii :)
I did these last night, I kind of borrowed the idea from Chalkboard Nails. I also wanted to give the roses another try and I simply cannot pass up the opportunity to do leopard print. So I took the advice of my Photoshop tutorial, and I think the roses turned out pretty good. I'm sure the more I practice the roses the better I'll get.
Maybe I should have done something with the middle finger. Its ok, I bought 6 new nail polishes today I'm sure I'll do something different tonight, although I'm really enjoying all the funky designs.
Also, I think Its time for a new camera. Maybe for my birthday I'll get a nice Canon :D I hate using my phone but it'll have to do. My Kodak took its last picture last winter during a blizzard. I just had to go outside and take pictures. So I put it off, I was kind of mad at myself for being so careless. But its time to move on :)
What I used:
Pink is Pure Ice - Creme Flirt Alert, the Nude inside the roses and leopard and the lightning bolt is Essie - Mambo, the Black I use is Finger Paints - Black Expressionism. Top Coat - Essie Shine-E. I couldn't find my base coat so I went without :(
