Pretty in Pink + Gold

Hey again :)

What a lazy Sunday! Its been raining all day :( So for today's mani I have used Pinterest as my inspiration. I found this lovely pink white and gold mani that reminded me of a beautiful summer day, and seeing as how summer is leaving us, I figured it could pick me up even though the weather is crappy.

Ok, here's what I have for you guys today.

The picture does not do it justice. The pink is prettier in person. It looks kind of salmony in this pic, which isn't what it looks like IRL. I hate when that happens, I might have to invest on a better camera, right now i'm using my phone. I have the Samsung Galaxy III, which does take some really nice pictures, but some colors are not as vibrant, and some come out way too vibrant lol.

Oh, and also I've made a new banner, I like it a lot. But I'm still working on other Idea's.

The Van Halen

Hey again :D

I finally got my first indie!!! I bought it with my copious credit :D and only paid $1.50 OOP. How great is that. I've been wanting to get an indie polish for a while, and now that I have, I think I will continue to.

I saw all those girls with the black and white glitters and I was so envious!! Now I have my own and I'm in LOVE, and still envious because they got to experience it first, lmao!! :P

Anyway, my fiance saw them and right away said that looks like Eddie Van Halen's guitar, then he showed me a picture and I totally agree!! So I will call these The Van Halens!! Take a look!!

How awesome is that??

Ok, so this polish is not finicky like I thought it would be, I thought, "So much glitter for sure is going to be a mess to work with!!" And nope, super easy to apply, and while it did leave some tiny little bubbles :( It'll be ok, because they are microscopic and I like looking at them, as long as its not a million. Just one here and there, probably from shipping and what not. So in a few days once its been settling down in the helmer I will see if they've disappeared. Anyway, I could not be happier with this polish 10/10 from me!!

The red polish is by Essie, and I do not know the name, Its one of those things where the sticker comes off and I didn't swatch so no name anywhere. I really do need to go to Ulta and see if they have it. I love this Red polish by Essie, I must find out its name!!!

Blue and Yellow Sammy

So basically what a Jelly Sammy is when you use a jelly nail polish and layer glitter in between it!!

Updating a few things

Hey :)

So I'm kind of organizing some things around. More specifically the blog, lol. I wanted to add what polishes I had. I never really got around to swatching polishes I had, seems a bit pointless to me because I just randomly pick colors or have colors i'm really into at the moment. But I love to see others swatch their polishes, but I am just not that organized, so instead I decided to list all the polishes I had, get to know them a bit more, their names lol. 

So I guess no new nails tonight :( Oh, and I think one of my nails is trying to break. The middle finger nail on the left hand. MY PICTURE HAND!!! I need to get something to fix this from happening, I haven't had breakage in a little while.

Oh, also I made this.

This is so I could separate things, Like in my wishlist. My blog is a mess, but I hope to work on it.

Also, I need to figure out how to get rid of that little white border around my pictures, I thought I liked it, but not on my little border/divider thing or my signature. I have to figure that out too!!!

Teal Tuesday Jelly Sandwich

Happy Tuesday!!
Woo Hoo!!! Tuesday's here again!! I went teal polish shopping, and I found what I thought was teal but turned out to be a bit more on the green side :( I was at target and I guess the light fooled me. Its Pixi Metallic Mermaid. Then I went to Sally's to renew my card and I found the Orly flash glam collection on sale :D I only bought one, I will go back and buy some more with my $5 credit for renewing my card plus my 15% off discount :) I bought the Blue one, Orly Spazmatic, and oh my, it is l-o-v-e-l-y!!!!! Ok, so here is this weeks TT challenge. So i'm still sort of new to this Jelly Sandwich thing, but i'm still excited about it, I don't think it came out as great as it did on the color wheel. Only because I don't have the patience for all those layers to dry lol. The color Wheel took 7 layers while I only tolerated 4.

I have trouble with these Cherimoya polishes, they take so long to dry. They are so jellish and thick. 2.5 hours to dry!!! OMG! I watched an episode of Pretty Little Liars and an episode of Beverly Hills Nannies and some of Cars 2 lol.

Ok, here's what I used.

A gel/creme Franken I made

Galaxy Nails

Heeyy!!
Well I've been a busy girl today, I wrote down some idea's that I have for mani's. I even busted out the Nail wheel and started on some :) But I can't show you guys yet. Its top secret!! And then today I decided I was going to try the galaxy mani. This is something I've been wanting to do for a while, but didn't feel confident in doing. I was brave, and it turned out to be an amazingly awesome experience. And while it might not be the best galaxy mani, it is kinda nice.

So here it is!!

COS BAR (NO NAME!!) I hate when this happens, Its a coppery orange color.
To add little stars I used Wet n Wild Hallucinate/Hallucination (White glitter)

So about my idea's. I want to try one out Wednesday (After Teal Tuesday) I hope that they come out well, its a lot of detail to my shaky hands lol. And the other Idea I'll wait until Halloween :D (Because its kind of gross) Yes, I know Halloween is a bit away but I'm so freakin' excited because all the stores have decorations up. I'm already planning my mini haunted house and graveyard. Ok ok, Thats about it for now, I've gotten too happy with all this planning.

Franken-polish Jelly

Hello hello!!!

So I had never bought an indie polish, that being said I got an email saying I had 24 hours to spend my $10 copious credit. So I found myself a cute black and white glitter polish. So lets see how it works out. Which brings me to my next point. I have been loving all those jelly polishes that have been so popular lately. I've been dying to buy one from Whimsical Ideas by Pam, This lady is amazing!!!! I think I will definitely buy a few bottles. I'm really really loving a I <3 NY!

Lets continue, so also this Tuesday (Teal Tuesday) our challenge is a jelly sammy, which was a new concept to me, I've seen them but never really understood. Yeah, I know, slow me! So I was looking through my polishes and found that I have a few jelly polishes, but none in teal, I decided to mess around and make a franken-polish which turned out to be so much fun, but messy. But i'll be saving this batch for Tuesday, But I did make another batch (an imitation of sort) of one that I had seen, I threw in some glitters together along with some jelly polish and a bit of a tint together mixed and voila!!! I bring you.... Ms.Meow's Cupcakes!!!

 
I like it, it could possible use some work but for now i'm really please :)
I also really want to get my hands on some hexagon shaped glitters, I want to mix them up and make my own concoctions. I really did enjoy making this one.

Teal Tuesdays CopyCat

Good Morning :)
Another Teal Tuesday morning :)
I missed lasts weeks TT, and I was really excited for it!!! I had my cute "background" flower mani and I couldn't bare to get rid of it, plus I was hoping to get some new teals, which still has not happened. Ok here's what I got, Its something I seen a while ago, and it was before I joined Pinterest and now I can't remember where I got it from. I love Pinterest for this reason!!!

Alright, here's what I used:

Mood Struck Teal to Turquise (7 drops) + Finger Paints Black Expressionism (1 drop) (Tips)
And silver nail art tape
Seche Vite

Lightning Bolt Nails

Hello :)

I've been working on fixing my nail station :) I finally got around to doing my nails. I went for something simple and cute that involved tape (because I got so much tape for free from target) lol. I love tape mani's and I wish I had to patience to cut all the little strips. So here's my attempt at the lightning bolt mani.

So here's what I used:

Also, I'm so excited, For a while I've heard a lot of nail bloggers talk about the Helmer from Ikea, and I finally got one. I love it!! It fits perfect under my desk and fits all my polishes (and I have room to spare) I thought for sure the taller polishes weren't going to fit, but they did. Also at Ikea they sell these plastic drawer divider, (I only bought 2, I feel like a dummy) which I find helpful for because I don't have a lot of the same polish (brand) and I wanted to organize by brand not color. I need to go buy more, I really like it this way, and at $3 a divider. I looked online, and I found this. Its cute and totally true.

Nails Inspired by Rose Background

Yay!! Another post!!
I'm trying to jazz up the place, (blog-wise) I decided to go with a new background, I wanted it to be related to something I've done with my nails, and one of my favorites designs I've tried has to be the roses. So to celebrate, I've took my background and put it on my nails :)

I love it!! Roses are the cutest things on nails, But a pain in the butt to do on my right hand. So I didn't take a picture of that disaster, lol.

Also, I don't know if anyone does any couponing, but this week at Target (I do promise this is nail related) they have scotch tape on sale for 50 cents :) And there is also a coupon on target's website that makes the tape 100% free!! So I printed out 12 coupons :) (2 per computer) and made my way to target and stocked up on tape. I'm thinking about doing it again (If they reset the coupons) I love this time of year, when kids are dreading the back to school routine, and I get tons of free or almost free school supply that lasts me all year.
I can't wait to get some tape mani idea's.

Julep Alfre and Felicity Zebra

Good evening :)

So I got my Julep Maven box, and I was really excited until I tried them out. The purple wasn't deep, rich or dark enough. And the gold is ok, not much more. So I took matters into my own hands, lol. I added glitter, glitter makes everything better :D

The polish dried horribly :( It was streaky, and left bubbles. Maybe I can add some polish thinner :) fix it up a bit.

Anyone know who she is? She's from True Blood, aka my girl crush, Pam. I love this woman, her character is amazing, strong, beautiful and loyal. So If I find myself away for a while Its due to this. I started drawing this a few months ago, and was scared to put color to it, but I finally just jumped in. I'm using 2 kinds of pastels, Oil pastels for the hair and pastel pencils everywhere else. I'm finding I like the oil pastels better because this paper I have is too textured :( Ahhh! Its driving me nuts.
